I bought this harness for Alpine use on Rock and Ice. BD stated on the product description "Limestone sport routes, granite big walls, steep ice and alpine faces—for those who climb it all, all year long". The gear loops look large and stable in the picture. They are quite stable, but they are tiny. You can barley rack anything on this harness, let alone an alpine rack. The Ice Clippers from BD that first this harness are way to small, and the front two are way to far forward. Placing ice screws in this position is a great way to stab yourself in the top of your leg.
From the pictures, I had assumed this was the harness I was dreaming of. I tore open the package without care, now I can't return. Total waste of money. I have relegated it to being my gym harness, but it sucks at even that.
I love most all of my BD gear. This is just an utter disappointment.
