BALI, INDONESIA – Tired of the usual Kuta Beach ‘kraze’ and crowded streets of Semiyak? Always having trouble getting to your villas in some secluded alley. Need some peace and quiet and a private beach to bask in? Then The St Regis Bali Resort at Nusa Dua might be what you are looking for to have a luxurious weekend wanderlust.
”When once a while, roughing it out doesn’t quite work, and all you want to do is to..indulge”

Where are the luxury beach resorts in Bali at?
Nusa Dua – A beautiful exclusive part of Bali lined with amazing villas and stunning beach resorts, and popular with tourists for its peace and serenity. Bali as a retreat destination has always been popular for young Singapore and Asian travelers all these years, given it is only around a 3 hours flight from Singapore.
Me being a frequent visitor of Bali the past couple of years, I have had my fair share of amazing stays in private villas, suites and resorts. But the The St Regis Bali Resort has by far been the most stunning resort in Bali I have set foot on.
No wonder the taxi drivers who fetch me rave about it and vouch that this is one resort that is of a level of its own.

The grandeur of the resort starts from the driveway all the way to the lobby.
We were welcomed by a stunning reception area and warm service from the staff, despite arriving so late at night at 10pm.
After being gently ushered into our suite without having to fuss about the luggage, we were promptly served some lovely chamomile tea to soothe our tired minds. But that couldn’t keep us still for long as we started getting excited checking out our beautiful suite.

Cosy and Rustic Feel
The St Regis Bali Resort suite is designed to have a zen and cosy aspect to it, with the teak wood, creme walls and warm soft lighting all adding to the mood. Little touches like the wooden ceiling fan and sheer white partition curtains really added to the atmosphere of the room. Not to mention the extremely big fancy toilet that Jac and I loved. No fighting for space as there is plenty there..to even do handstands!

Lazy morning chilling out at our veranda having tea, macaroons and truffles
We woke up the following morning after a lovely night of rest. The veranda with the large cozy couch is a really relaxing place that puts you so at ease that we almost missed our breakfast from lazing around too long.

Breakfast at The St Regis Bali Resort is quite an indulgent treat.
Unlike the usual morning breakfast buffet spread, we had 3 different segments to breakfast – buffet, ala carte off the menu and hand held entree dishes on trays brought around by the servers.
I couldn’t resist getting some oysters for starters from the menu.

After a beautiful breakfast, it calls for a lovely dip into the lagoons to cool down in this sweltering heat. The St Regis Bali Resort has 2 pools in its vicinity, a sleek freshwater pool by the beach and another huge salt water lagoon in the heart of the villas, with direct access from some of the suites.

If you would like to dry off and get a nice warm tan by the beach, head just a few metres away from the freshwater pool to the beach and plonk down on one of those ultra comfortable sunbeds.
Jac and I vouched that its the nicest sunbeds we have ever sat one, so soft and comfortable you slip into dreamland in almost 10 minutes. We would have sat there the whole afternoon if not because we had to get back to our rooms to pack our bags. luxurious weekend wanderlust.
