”Everyone has a love affair with Bali and all it has to offer” – Lydiascapes
BALI, INDONESIA – Beyond the waves, massages and hipster nightlife, Bali by day has a very raw outdoor adventurous streak as well. A group of 10 travel bloggers/ friends set out for 4 days to get a taste of outdoor adventures in Bali province, aiming to conquer the dirt tracks, forests and seas to capture the best footage our outdoor adventures have to offer.

After enjoying the stunning sunset at Kuta beach and a lovely night of sleep at J Boutique Hotel, we were all ready the following day for some action! Armed with our hardy FR100 action cameras, we undergo 5 different adventurous activities which put our true bravery and guts to the test.
The Ultimate List to Outdoor Adventures in Bali
Battle #1 – Canyoning through the forest

All bolted up with our helmets, life jackets and our waterproof FR100 cameras, we were quickly hustled to the river bed and 1 by 1 shoved into the river rapids. It was great fun and gives a real adrenaline kick as you gush down small waterfalls, get spun around at top speed when your float hits a rocky edge, not forgetting getting perpetually splashed by your surrounding ‘friendly’ neighbours, or should I say, enemies. The water was quite cool cold but refreshing and we managed to capture a few amazing shots between the squealing.

On standby to enter the river rapids in our 1 man float, am the last in line!
Canyoning in Bali with the hardy Casio FR100. Let’s hope this waterproof baby can withstand the crazy overturns and waterfall bumps! Scared!

Always be careful what shoes you wear to go canyoning in. To have shoes with good grip and friction even against slippery surfaces underwater, consider getting a pair of canyoneering shoes.
Battle #2 – Quad Biking/ ATV Bali

We had 2 to a jumbo size quad bike from Bali Quad, and after multiple trials
in the village of Kerta, Payangan . Both myself and Jac from The Occasional Traveler, my quad bike partner-in-crime, managed to capture some high-speed footage of the experience – from different angles from the bike to handheld selfie stick. Some these videos and photos really serve as proof of how high speed and insanely fast we were riding it!

Battle #3 – Speeding, Snorkeling and Shots

The 3rd day in beautiful Bali comprised of speedboats, snorkelling and excessive jump shots. Yes, excessive. Will explain more later.

Managed to take loads of photos on the speedboat through the wind was so strong and there were some huge bumps due to the choppy waters. Having a wide angle lens plus the sunny skies just made everything looked so much clearer and vivid. After so much wind blowing and getting baked like a potato under the sun, we were glad to dip into the sea at the snorkelling site and enjoy the crystal clear water and amazing marine life.

Battle #4 – Fly that Fox over my head
Between our canyoning, there was a point where we stopped to do a flying fox set. Though not exactly as high off the ground and as long as I would like, it was still great fun and I managed to catch a lovely video of me flying through the air.

Battle #5 – Surfer baby
Last but not least…surf that wave!
A great fun activity to add to your list of to-dos in Bali that is worth every mouthful of saltwater drunk. The best timing to go out and catch the high tides at Kuta Beach in the afternoon is between 3 – 5 pm, so come in your rash guard, head-mounted FR100 action cameras and slabs of sunblock.

Hence, concluding our 4 Days Outdoor adventures in Bali with Casio Exilim. Utterly loved how camera managed to capture those fast moving action and candid moments. Looking back at the videos and pictures with the highlight movie function really makes me feel nostalgic now that I have left Bali.
Want some cool shots and footage of your own? Then you know what you need to make it happen. Go Adventure with Exilim!
